It's been two years since I've done any serious artwork, and four since I've done a lot of serious artwork. I've just been doodling in my lecture notes--lots of shoes and nude women, for whatever reason, and the lines on the notebook kind of ruin the effect.

Suddenly now I am teeming with subversive art ideas. Now, the reader might not believe me capable of subversion, for I have uploaded little but folk art designs and bland abstract art-class assignments. To be honest, I wasn't all that subversive two years ago, aside from a spurt of proto-deviation in my final project for the one art class I took. But I am subversive now, and I intend to make some subversive art. Cacti, fashion magazines, and anti-smoking campaigns are themes that come to mind.

Also, my right knee has been bitching at me since Sunday, particularly when I bend it while applying weight (as when climbing up or down stairs, or getting up from a chair), but also a lot of times when I'm trying to treat it nicely. Stupid knee. It makes me feel like a cry-baby version of Frida Kahlo.
